Good Neighbor Day

Roses.jpg

Farmers Country Floral and Gift, a florist in the next town, celebrated Good Neighbor Day today by giving away 7,500 (625 dozen) roses. Anyone could stop by and collect a dozen roses for free. All they asked is that the customer keep one and give the other 11 roses to 11 other people whom they “care for, love or deem to be important.” Here are the two roses that made their way to my house today. Along with the roses came visits from a couple of very dear people. Considering we have been here just one year, I am feeling very lucky indeed.

What a great Tender Mercy. I love this idea and hope to find a similar way to give to others in my own life.

    Thanks for sharing.
