Several years ago Jeana was commissioned by Oxmoor House to design an applique quilt for their annual Sampler Quilt Calendar. One Fine Day is the quilt she created for their 1998 calendar.
Although the calendar itself is out of date, the twelve designs are timeless featuring a delightful collection of garden blossoms. Along with the flowers, cheerful brown sparrows celebrate summer in a variety of settings. Each block is highlighted in a full size photo on the pages of the calendar. The scale and clarity of the photography allows the quiltmaker a rare opportunity to view closely every aspect of each block from the fabrics used to the hand quilted detail.
